BIOGRAPHY
'Barbara Fontaine-White sees landscape as a physical experience which forges a relationship with herself, the viewer and the painting.
In 2019 she received a grant to develop a new body of work using the landscape as subject. The work in this portfolio represents her observations.
Fontaine-White taught painting and drawing at the university level for over thirty years. She retired in the spring 0f 2023 as a full professor from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and now works as a full time artist.
